Well, the title is kind of a self-explanatory one but you may have noticed that even the homepage looks different here! I worked on this site last weekend so that it runs entirely on the Pelican engine! This streamlines a lot of what I do to update the homepage so I don't have to edit whole HTML files in one part of the site and manage Markdown in the other.
If you do not know about Pelican, it's a static site generator written in Python which allows you to build your static website with just a little bit of reStructuredText or Markdown. As you can see, it's greatly simplified the work I do on my site. Not only do the pages load faster, but it's also a lot less taxing on web servers and easy to deploy. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to run their own independent web blog. The templating engine is really easy to learn too; it took just about half a minute for me to get off the ground with.
That's all I have to say here. Enjoy and hope you're all having a good day!
