Art Fight Over + Thoughts + Megaplex

Somewhat belated but that's pretty much a wrap! Thanks to all who exchanged some wonderful art with me. I think this has been one of my most productive Art Fights since 2022, and just as productive as 2018, too. I think the one difference is that I did not burn myself out this time! I had a more consistent and concrete schedule for my Attacks, mostly thanks to the use of a kanban-style board. More specifically, Trello. Ok, maybe it is a bit of a shameless plug but it's a good one! Promise.

Anyways, I've been putting less concern into the quality of some of my Attacks especially with how chaotic life has been on my part. Sometimes I wish I had all the time in the world to put more quality into them, but.. I also wanted to prioritize myself as well. Some of the times I've worked on my own stuff in the past decade, I'd been kind of hard on myself for not following through entirely with them. I'm trying to do that less.

It's difficult, especially as someone who already has issues with self-esteem. Though, oft more than not, I try to revel in my mistakes and learn from them. I feel like this was also one of my shortcomings with my time at uni in the past decade; sometimes I've let mistakes consume me and I would, for instance, be put in a deadlock and dissociate for an extended period of time and then get stuck crunching with homework in the last couple of days or less. I've been doing a lot better since, despite technically being a dropout, haha. I have a job and I'm happy with it.

Anyways, sappy story aside, I will be attending Megaplex for the full weekend this month. It's been a while since I last did especially with all the family chaos that ensued. But I will be going! Funnily enough, this event starts on my birthday so I think this year (and probably next) will be special in that sense. I want to put more focus on the convention functions this year especially as I'm staying for the full weekend. I think it will be a lot easier since I get to decide a lot of the itinerary now.

Thanks for reading and hope y'all are having a good timezone today.
