Life Update

Hello all! Sorry for the huge gap in updates. Just been trying my best to live life. There has been heartache after heartache this year, so I don't feel like elaborating on them further and turning this into a sad/sorrowful blog. Instead, I would like to focus on the good stuff for this entry.

So, Chao Ring. Some of you are probably waiting to get into the webring and I promise, I haven't forgot about my mailbox! I super duper appreciate all the signups I'd been receiving lately, and a lot of you have pretty cool websites! I've especially seen some of you have a dedicated webpage to chao, especially with info on the individual chao y'all have taken care of. While not at all necessary to join, I find it really cool. With said, this is also a reminder that webring signups remain indefinitely open for as long as the webring exists. If by chance you're interested in joining this webring, go to that aforementioned link.

What else... I got a new tablet recently especially because my Intuos Pen & Touch has been seeing a decline in use lately; it works pretty solid even after 11 years of use; it's mostly that I have trouble bringing myself to pull it out in front of my desk! I'd been yearning for a more streamlined setup for a while, and I found myself looking at pen displays as of late. With that said, I ended up settling with a Huion Kamvas 13 (Gen 3). I was hesistant at first, but thought it met my needs better than the larger Kamvas 16 (Gen 3) and the Pro variants. I especially remember being hesitant about screen size at first, but when I got this thing delivered and set it up on my desktop, I already knew it was large enough for my workspace.

Needless to say, it has been working very well for me so far! The only minor inconvenience with this tablet being on my desk is that I have to put my keyboard underneath the monitor in order to keep using it. Makes me wonder if I should install a retractable keyboard tray at some point.. I'd already made some drawings with it, including this piece I'd made for a good friend of mine. I gotta set up a public gallery on this site at some point; I just haven't settled on a proper implementation.

That's all for now. ... Wait. There is a movie I'm looking forward to seeing this weekend and it involves a mischievous blue alien—erm, dog. Normally I'm very apathetic toward most live-action remakes put out by Disney (because, well, they look pretty mid), but I feel like this one has some charm, even with its faults. That goes without saying, I don't think it will match the charm of the original animated film from 2002; however, I think Stitch is one of the very few Disney properties I have a soft spot for, so I would not mind checking out the newer film for myself.

Oh, did I mention I'm also seeing it in 4DX? I'm not from the UK so it's not specifically at Cinéworld as the video implies, but at the US-equivalent Regal. I think these need to be closer to home, though the distance situation has improved slightly since 2023 when I experienced it for the first time with the Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Anyway, hope y'all are having a good one today.
