So uh, today did not go the way I expected it to. To preface, I'm bad at giving myself reminders. I need to make lots of them for my phone or my home device to yell at me for. In fact, I can't even get myself to break out of the usual routines, to go to work for example, even a little bit. Now, put that into the context of car maintenance. You might know where this is going, especially if you drive a car as well.

That said, my car decided to break down on the way to work this morning. Engine overheat and all. Checked the antifreeze, it's all run dry. Tried replenishing the antifreeze but it turned out to be the wrong type, so now the drivetrain is complaining too, so I naturally had to get it towed to the dealership to get it checked out before it develops more problems.

So I got to work alright, though at the cost of my family's time as well as me being late for work. And who knows what will come of the inspection and repair, too. I've been told I shouldn't worry too much about it, but I can't help but blame myself for what happened with my car. One very simple thing I could've kept an eye on, I've overlooked very easily. All it took was just one little peek into the antifreeze tank on a regular basis. I've neglected to do so, all because of me and my 'autopilot' brain. *Sigh*. I don't know. Maybe they're right; I'm a little hard on myself, but I can't help but feel some responsibility for the mishap.

For now, I need to lean on ride-sharing to get to work until my car's out of the garage. Fun. Anyway, hope you all are having a pretty lax evening.

EDIT: Turns out I used up my only two available complimentary trips because I was not notified of any catches regarding their roadside service program. Ragh!!!!!!!!! ... Nevermind then.
